Pomology, Walnuts and Olives

Pomology is the science of growing, storing, and processing fruit. In 2010 fruit and nut production made up 47% of the county's agricultural production. This area is the largest component of San Joaquin County's agricultural commodities. In 2010, walnuts ranked 3rd, cherries were ranked 4th and apples in 9th in the 2010 "top 10" county commodities.
