Youth Development
Niki Chiunti, Program Representative

4-H is the youth development program of the University of California Cooperative Extension. Since 1915, this youth program has served the children, youth and families of San Joaquin County by providing research-based knowledge, expertise and educational projects which engage youth in reaching their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development.

4-H Community Club Program
There are 1, 200+ 4-H club members and 400+ adult leaders involved in over 60 educational, real-life projects. The newest countywide project is pigeons.

Outdoor Education
In 1927, 4-H began its association with the City of Stockton municipal camp at Silver Lake.  To date, our low cost summer camp (run mostly by teen counselors) has provided a wide array of learning experiences to over 38,000 youth and adult volunteers.
